As I mentioned in my New Year's Resolutions, we're getting a TV for the first time since we've lived in this house, so we have had to find a place to put it. This is no mean feat, because pretty much every wall in our house has a bookshelf leaning up against it. I am starting to get a little concerned that the elusive desk Jeff has promised me shall never be made because we need to fill that space in the dining room with another bookshelf (that'll be the fifth bookshelf in that room, good thing it's bigger than the dining room in our old house.)
So, we've rearranged the lounge room, moving one couch perpendicular to a wall to give more wall space to place a TV up against. As of this morning we have two mini-lounge areas, one with the double book- and toy-shelf for a reading/little kids play area:And another space which is bigger, will eventually include our TV, and has enough floor space for Joshua's Duplo train set:Careful positioning of Joshua's Duplo storage baskets makes a handy gate that Samuel so far seems reluctant to cross. Thus our play pen has been rendered obsolete. I think. We'll have to wait before we make a final judgement on that one, though.
